MP Midhun Reddy Gets Temporary Relief from Andhra Pradesh High Court
YSR Congress Party Member of Parliament Midhun Reddy has received temporary relief from the Andhra Pradesh High Court amid ongoing developments in the state’s liquor scam investigation. Over the past few days, there has been speculation that Midhun Reddy may be arrested in connection with the case.

The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) registered a case following complaints alleging a liquor scam during the YSR Congress Party’s tenure in power. Midhun Reddy was named as an accused in the case. In response, he had earlier filed a petition seeking anticipatory bail in the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

After reviewing the petition, the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted interim relief to Midhun Reddy. The court instructed the CID not to arrest him until April 3, when a final verdict on the petition is expected.

Meanwhile, Telugu Desam Party MP Srikrishna Devarayalu raised the issue of the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam in the Lok Sabha yesterday. While the session was still in progress, Union Home Minister Amit Shah summoned Srikrishna Devarayalu to his office in Parliament to personally learn more about the liquor scam. These developments have stirred significant political discussion in Andhra Pradesh.
