Tiruvannamalai Guide Arrested for Assaulting Foreign Woman During Meditation Trip
A guide has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a foreign woman who had gone for meditation on Tiruvannamalai Hill in Tamil Nadu. According to the police, the 40-year-old woman from France visited Tiruvannamalai in January and was staying at a private ashram along the Girivalam path. She frequently went to meditate on the hill located behind the temple, often seeking the help of a local guide.
Three days ago, while returning from a meditation session on the hill with the guide’s assistance, the accused allegedly assaulted her. Following her complaint, the police registered a case and arrested the guide. The victim was taken to the local government hospital for medical examination.
