CM Chandrababu Announces 58-Foot Statue for Potti Sriramulu in Amaravati
Speaking on the occasion, Chandrababu Naidu praised Potti Sriramulu’s sacrifice, stating that his hunger strike was instrumental in securing a separate Andhra state. He further announced that a Potti Sriramulu Memorial Park would be established in Amaravati. Additionally, the Andhra Pradesh government plans to develop Potti Sriramulu’s native village in Nellore district. The development projects will include setting up a museum and constructing a modern high school named after him.
Chandrababu Naidu urged people to draw inspiration from Potti Sriramulu and encouraged every individual to uplift at least ten fellow Telugu people. He also declared that the state government would organize year-long celebrations to commemorate Potti Sriramulu’s birth anniversary, with events planned until March 16 next year.
