YS Jagan Highlights Women-Centric Initiatives on International Women’s Day
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy extended his wishes to all women on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Taking to the social media platform X, he emphasized the significance of women's well-being, stating, “Only when women are prosperous, can families, states, and the nation thrive.”

YS Jagan cited a well-known saying that where women are worshipped, divine presence is assured. He expressed his belief in this principle and highlighted the numerous welfare initiatives undertaken during his administration to support women. He stated that his government prioritized women's empowerment and development, implementing policies that encouraged their participation in various sectors.

Jagan Mohan Reddy claimed that his tenure saw the implementation of over 32 welfare schemes aimed at providing security and financial stability to women. He further noted that his government took a landmark step by legislating 50% reservation for women in nominated positions and employment opportunities.

He also emphasized that tribal and Dalit women were honored with key leadership roles, including appointments as Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister. Additionally, he highlighted the introduction of the Disha system, which was aimed at enhancing women's safety and protection.
