Achannaidu’s Strong Counter to Botsa Satyanarayana in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council

A notable exchange took place during the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council session today. While Agriculture Minister Achannaidu was addressing the House on a particular issue, opposition leader Botsa Satyanarayana raised an objection.

Responding to Botsa Satyanarayana, Achannaidu stated, "Anyone can speak here; it is not limited to a few individuals. Anyone has the right to respond and express their views. We must speak with collective responsibility. If what we say is wrong, you can counter it. But saying that we should not speak at all is unacceptable."

During the exchange, Achannaidu delivered a sharp counter to Botsa Satyanarayana. He addressed the Council, saying, "Mr. Chairman, please give me a minute. The respected Botsa Sattibabu personally commented about me, saying that I became an MLA and a minister. But I have always been actively engaged in public life. Unlike you, I have never depended on political winds to win elections. Whether the winds favor me or not, I am someone who wins even in the most challenging situations. I have never been obsessed with positions. With or without a position, my commitment is always to serve the people."

It is worth noting that Botsa Satyanarayana was defeated in the last elections.
