The Malayalam crime thriller Officer on Duty, starring Kunchacko Boban, is witnessing impressive box office earnings. Released on February 20, the film turned profitable within just four days of its release. So far, it has collected ₹25 crore, making it the second-highest-grossing film of the year.

The film was made on a modest budget of ₹12 crore and continues to see growing collections each day. Directed by debutant Jeethu Ashraf, Officer on Duty features Priyamani in a key role.

Kunchacko Boban, who had been waiting for a major hit since Padmini, appears to have regained his box office momentum with this film. With no major star-studded releases scheduled in the coming month, trade analysts predict further growth in the film’s collections.
