Mahashivaratri Turns Tragic: One Dead, Four Missing in Godavari River

A tragic incident occurred during Mahashivaratri celebrations in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. As part of the festival, a large number of devotees participated in holy river baths. In this context, five youths went missing while taking a dip in the Godavari River at Tadipudi in Tallapudi Mandal.

Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and launched a search operation with the help of expert swimmers. During the rescue efforts, the body of one youth was recovered. Search operations are still underway for the remaining missing individuals. Further details are awaited.
