Actress Kamakshi Bhaskarla Reveals Her Experience of Eating Insects in China
Actress Kamakshi Bhaskarla, who gained recognition with the film Polimera, has revealed intriguing details about her journey from being a doctor to entering the film industry. In a recent interview with iDream, she shared her experiences studying in China and her exposure to the local food culture.
"I have always been an avid reader. My life revolved around home and college. I never explored much beyond that," Kamakshi Bhaskarla said. "When I decided to pursue my MBBS in China, I was unaware that English was not commonly spoken there. I went there quite innocently, without realizing the language barrier. Once I arrived, I had to make efforts to understand and learn their language."
The actress further spoke about her six-year stay in China and the unusual dietary habits of the locals. "People in China consume cockroaches, frogs, snakes, and scorpions. At one point, I learned that due to the lack of greenery in some areas, they adapted to eating these as a food source. I, too, tried cockroaches and scorpions. When it comes to taste, it felt quite different," she remarked.
Kamakshi Bhaskarla also mentioned that she is currently working on six projects, keeping her occupied with both films and web series.
