Oppo Launches the World's Thinnest Foldable Phone, 'Oppo Find N5'
Oppo has unveiled its latest foldable smartphone, the 'Oppo Find N5', claiming it to be the thinnest foldable phone in the world. When folded, the device measures just 8.93mm in thickness, making it even slimmer than the Honor Magic V3, which held the title in 2024. When unfolded, the thinnest point of the Oppo Find N5 measures only 4.21mm.
Oppo has asserted that its claim of having the world's thinnest foldable phone is based on measurements taken when the device is folded. If measured in an unfolded state, the Huawei Mate X5 Triple Foldable Phone, launched last week, would take the title, as it boasts a thickness of just 3.6mm.
The Oppo Find N5 was launched on Thursday and is expected to be available in European and Asian markets. However, Oppo has not yet released its Find N series in the Indian market, leaving uncertainty about when the device will be available there. The estimated price of the Oppo Find N5 is around ₹1.62 lakh.
Oppo Find N5: Specifications and Features
The Oppo Find N5 features a 6.62-inch Full HD AMOLED primary screen and an 8.1-inch 2K external display with a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The display is also stylus-compatible.
The device comes with IPX6 and IPX9 ratings, ensuring waterproof, dustproof, and dirt-resistant protection. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
For power, the Find N5 is equipped with a 5,600mAh battery supporting 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
In terms of cameras, the Oppo Find N5 features a 50MP Hasselblad-branded triple rear camera setup. For selfies, there are two 8MP front cameras—one for use when the phone is unfolded and another for when it is folded.
The phone runs on Android 15 with ColorOS on top. It will be available in Misty White, Cosmic Black, and Dusky Purple color options.
