CM Chandrababu Praises PM Modi at International Temples Convention in Tirupati
Tirupati:  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the country has the right leader at the right time. He made these remarks while addressing the gathering after inaugurating the International Temples Convention and Expo in Tirupati.

Chandrababu Naidu highlighted India's progress in adopting technology and emphasized that the country’s large youth population is an advantage. He expressed his aspiration for India to become the world’s leading or second-largest economy by 2047. He also noted that technology is helping streamline temple operations, making religious services more accessible.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of service in the name of God, stating that many individuals are coming forward to contribute to society through religious institutions. He described Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala as a deity of immense faith for millions of devotees.

Chandrababu Naidu announced that the Andhra Pradesh government has significantly improved infrastructure in temples across the state. He revealed that ₹134 crore had been spent on temple development within the past seven months. He also mentioned initiatives such as salary allocations for temple priests and funding for Vedic schools. Committees have been established for major temples to oversee religious and administrative activities.

Chandrababu Naidu asserted that temples are not just spiritual centers but also major sources of revenue. He emphasized the role of temple tourism in national development, adding that more people are turning towards spirituality in contemporary times. He noted that devotees are donating crores of rupees, and these funds are being utilized for education, healthcare, and other social welfare programs.

The Chief Minister assured that devotees visiting temples in Andhra Pradesh would be provided with all necessary facilities. He stated that efforts are underway to enhance greenery in temple premises, with a goal of maintaining 75% green cover in Tirumala. He reiterated that temples play a crucial role in preserving culture and heritage.

Chandrababu Naidu recalled that former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) had introduced the Annadanam (free meal) program in Andhra Pradesh temples, which now serves meals to lakhs of devotees daily. He also mentioned the growing number of Venkateswara temples worldwide and expressed hope for further expansion. Additionally, he announced that the Andhra Pradesh government is working on creating a temple circuit to promote religious tourism.
