Pankajasri Meets Vallabhaneni Vamsi in Jail, Alleges Threat to His Life

Pankajasri, the wife of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi, met him at the Vijayawada sub-jail today. After their meeting, she spoke to the media, expressing serious concerns about her husband's safety in jail. She alleged that Vamsi's life was at risk and that he was being subjected to various forms of harassment.

Pankajasri claimed that false cases were filed against Vamsi and that he was only in remand, with the charges against him yet to be proven. She stated that all the allegations leveled against him were baseless. She also revealed that Vamsi was suffering from severe back pain and respiratory issues and was being forced to sleep on the floor. She demanded a proper bed for him and alleged that he was being mentally tortured despite his poor health.

She further accused authorities of spreading false reports about Vamsi’s health by making doctors issue misleading statements. Pankajasri asserted that they would take legal action regarding these issues.

She also disclosed that YSRCP chief Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had personally called her to offer support and assured her that he would visit Vamsi. She emphasized that the party was standing by their family and had also arranged a legal team for Vamsi’s defense.

Additionally, Pankajasri questioned why Satyavardhan, a key individual in the case, had not yet been presented before a magistrate despite being taken into custody.
