You Will See Jagan 2.0, I Will Not Spare Anyone: YS Jagan
Vijayawada: YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asserted that this time, people will witness "Jagan 2.0," emphasizing his commitment to party workers. Speaking at a meeting with Vijayawada YSRCP corporators, Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that during his first term, he focused primarily on the welfare of the people, which limited his ability to give due attention to party workers. However, he warned that in the current political scenario, those who trouble YSRCP cadres will not be spared.
Jagan Mohan Reddy explained that in his first tenure, every scheme and decision was centered around public welfare. Now, after observing the hardships faced by party workers due to the ruling coalition, he assured them of his full support. He urged them to remember that he had been imprisoned for 16 months and that the cases against him were filed by Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders. He reminded them that despite these challenges, he became Chief Minister with public support. Confident about his political future, he expressed his ambition to serve as Chief Minister for 30 years.
He accused the TDP of resorting to intimidation and inducements to gain control in municipal bodies despite lacking a strong base. He commended those who stood firm against such tactics and stated that he was proud of them. Jagan Mohan Reddy asserted that his government had fulfilled every promise made, which resulted in a clean sweep in local body elections. He claimed that unlike the TDP leaders, he and his party members could still face the public with their heads held high, even after an electoral defeat.
Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized Chandrababu Naidu, stating that trusting him was akin to "awakening Chandramukhi" or "putting one's hand in a tiger’s mouth." He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu had deceived people with promises like "Super Six" and "Super Seven." He further claimed that fearing public backlash, Chandrababu Naidu's government was resorting to unconstitutional measures under the guise of governance.
The YSRCP leader asserted that everything in his administration had been executed systematically, contrasting it with the alleged inefficiencies of the current government. He accused the ruling coalition of selling sand at exorbitant prices and enabling illegal gambling clubs in every constituency. Jagan Mohan Reddy also alleged that businesses and mining activities were being forced to pay bribes, with the funds being distributed from local MLAs to Chandrababu Naidu. He claimed that within just nine months, the coalition government had already deteriorated significantly.
