KCR Issues Strong Warning to Revanth Reddy Government

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has issued a strong warning to the Telangana government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Speaking at a meeting with party leaders and workers from the Zaheerabad constituency at his farmhouse in Erravalli, KCR stated that he has been observing the government's actions in silence but cautioned that if he retaliates, it will not be mild. "I have a habit of striking hard," he remarked. He also announced plans to hold a massive public meeting by the end of February. Party senior leader T. Harish Rao was also present at the meeting.

KCR criticized the state government for allegedly halting progress on major irrigation projects, stating that projects such as Kaleshwaram, Basaveshwara, and Sangameshwara have been stalled. He expressed anger over what he described as the neglect of these initiatives, questioning why the government had stopped the Basaveshwara and Sangameshwara projects. He further stated that he had instructed Harish Rao to launch an agitation on this issue.

KCR alleged that people had been misled into voting for the current government based on false promises. He likened the situation in Telangana to a game of snakes and ladders, claiming that just when the state was progressing, a "big snake" swallowed it, referring to the political shift. He also recalled that even during the COVID-19 pandemic, his government had continued the Rythu Bandhu scheme and implemented various initiatives for farmers, but now, according to him, those efforts have been undone. He reaffirmed that the BRS party was founded for the welfare of Telangana, not for political gains.
