Former Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan Falls Ill
Former Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Biswabhushan Harichandan, fell ill on Tuesday. Following his health deterioration, his family rushed him to a hospital in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. As his condition remained critical, doctors in Bhubaneswar recommended advanced medical care, and arrangements were made to shift him to Hyderabad, his son and Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan stated.
A senior leader in the Odisha Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Biswabhushan Harichandan served as the Law and Revenue Minister from 2004 to 2009. He was appointed as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh in 2019 and served in the position until 2023. On February 23, 2023, he was appointed as the Governor of Chhattisgarh.
Biswabhushan Harichandan has been experiencing health issues for some time. In September last year, he was also hospitalized in Bhubaneswar due to illness.
