Telangana Signs Major MoU with JSW for Unmanned Aerial Systems

At the World Economic Forum Summit in Davos, the Telangana government has entered into agreements with several companies, paving the way for major investments in the state. Numerous organizations have already expressed interest in investing in Telangana and have signed MoUs with the government.

In a recent development, JSW has announced plans to establish a manufacturing unit for unmanned aerial systems in Telangana. This initiative will be implemented in collaboration with a U.S.-based defense technology company. The project involves an investment of ₹800 crore and is expected to generate employment opportunities for 200 individuals. The Telangana government has formalized this collaboration by signing an MoU with JSW.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized that this agreement positions Telangana as a central hub for drone technology and paves the way for critical advancements in the defense sector. Minister Sridhar Babu commented that the project, equipped with cutting-edge technology, will not only boost the defense industry but also play a pivotal role in Telangana’s development.
