A tragic incident unfolded in Goa as a tourist from Maharashtra and her paragliding instructor lost their lives in an accident. The mishap occurred on Saturday evening in Keri village, located in North Goa, while the two were paragliding.
According to police, Shivani Dable, a tourist from Pune, Maharashtra, was visiting Goa for a vacation. She had gone to a hill near Keri village for a paragliding session. Shivani was accompanied by Sumal Nepali, an instructor affiliated with the paragliding company.
Shortly after takeoff, the paraglider lost control, and both individuals fell into a gorge. The impact caused severe injuries, leading to their instant deaths. Preliminary investigations revealed that the paragliding company lacked the necessary permits to operate. Police have registered a case against the company’s operators and launched an inquiry into the incident.
