Indian Cricketer Rinku Singh in Marriage Talks with MP Priya Saroj
Young Indian cricketer Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj, an MP from Uttar Pradesh representing the Samajwadi Party, have been at the center of recent social media speculation regarding their engagement. However, Priya Saroj's father, Tufani Saroj, has clarified the situation in a statement to ANI.

Tufani Saroj, who is also a sitting MLA for the Samajwadi Party, confirmed that the couple has expressed their desire to marry and sought the family's approval. He stated, “Both children have conveyed their wish to get married and have sought our permission. However, the engagement has not yet taken place. Only preliminary discussions have occurred so far.”

Rinku Singh has gained prominence as a vital player in India’s T20 team. Despite excelling in the shortest format of the game, he is yet to secure a spot in the Indian ODI team due to the intense competition for selection.

In List-A cricket, Rinku Singh boasts impressive statistics, having scored 1,899 runs in 52 innings at an average of 48.69 and a strike rate of 94.8. His record includes one century and 17 half-centuries.

On the international stage, Rinku has represented India in 30 T20 matches, accumulating 507 runs in 22 innings with a stellar average of 46.09 and a strike rate of 165.14. He has scored three half-centuries in this format and made his debut against Ireland in 2023.

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rinku Singh plays for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Over 46 IPL matches, he has amassed 893 runs at a strike rate of 143.33, including four half-centuries.
