Infosys Offers Free Support to Boost Youth Skills in Andhra Pradesh; Key Agreement Reached

In a significant move aimed at enhancing employment opportunities for the youth in Andhra Pradesh, Infosys has partnered with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) to provide technical support for the prestigious Skill Census initiative. The agreement was formalized in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh. Infosys will offer this support under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, without any financial burden on the government.

Minister Nara Lokesh praised Infosys for stepping forward to assist in data pre-validation for the Skill Census program, emphasizing that this collaboration will help evaluate the existing skill levels of youth and facilitate market-relevant skill development training. Expressing optimism, Lokesh stated, “Infosys' involvement will pave the way for achieving the target of creating 2 million jobs for the youth in the next five years.”

Prominent attendees at the event included Infosys representatives Santosh and Tirumala, Skill Development Secretary Kona Shashidhar, and senior officials Ganesh Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, and Raghu.

User-Friendly Interfaces for Easy Learning

As part of the partnership, Infosys will develop user-friendly digital learning interfaces to connect students with curated learning pathways. This initiative aims to simplify continuous learning while meeting industry-specific requirements. Infosys will also provide free access to learning opportunities, technical advancements, and digital platform management. A digital platform called the ‘Generative Infosys Digital Platform’ will be developed to assess candidates' skills effectively and suggest improvements based on industry needs. This platform will help learners identify areas for skill enhancement, offering personalized recommendations for further development.
Free Online Courses and Workshops

Through the agreement, Infosys will offer curated learning pathways on its ‘Springboard’ platform, enabling aspirants to access free online courses and workshops. This initiative will continuously assess and improve skills in alignment with career aspirations. Infosys will also ensure transparency by tracking progress and delivering data-driven results. The program targets the training of approximately 35.9 million people aged between 15 and 59 in the state through pre-validation mechanisms.
