Andhra Pradesh Government Issues Re-Notification for 53 Bars

The Andhra Pradesh Excise Department has issued a re-notification for the auction of 53 bar licenses. Online applications will be accepted starting today, with the submission deadline set for December 22. The applications will be reviewed on December 23, and the auction will take place on December 24 from 9 AM to 12 PM.

Successful bidders will be granted licenses by the authorities. The license validity for these bars will extend until August 2025, according to Excise Department officials.

The re-notification was issued because some bar licenses remained unsold during the previous auction. To address this, a fresh auction process has been initiated.

Regarding the non-refundable license fee, the department has categorized fees based on population:

Areas with a population of up to 50,000: ₹5 lakh
Areas with a population between 50,000 and 5 lakh: ₹7.5 lakh
Areas with a population exceeding 5 lakh: ₹10 lakh
