Amaravati Capital Works Resume with ₹11,467 Crore Projects
Out of the total budget, ₹2,498 crore will be allocated for major road infrastructure. Another ₹1,585 crore will be spent on the development of canals, including the Palavagu and Kondaveeti Vagu canals, three reservoirs, and gravitational canals. Housing projects for All India Services officials, gazetted and non-gazetted officers, and fourth-grade employees will be completed with an investment of ₹3,525 crore.
Additionally, ₹3,859 crore will be utilized for developing layouts on lands allotted to farmers who gave their lands for the capital project. The government plans to cancel pre-2019 tenders and invite fresh tenders based on the revised Schedule of Rates (SSR). A revised estimate of ₹948.10 crore has been approved for the Amaravati Happiness Project, with new tenders to be floated. To address delays in the project, the government will compensate the CRDA for ₹270.71 crore in losses.
