Kiran Abbavaram Announces Sequel Plans for Hit Film 'KA'
During a press meet, Kiran Abbavaram shared his thoughts on the film's success, stating, "Previously, audiences saw me as the 'boy next door.' Now, they refer to me as ‘our own boy.’ It feels wonderful when people ask for tickets, saying they can’t find any, and request more showtimes.
We are releasing Ka in Malayalam on the 8th of this month as well. Seeing families come together to watch the movie and the houseful signs everywhere brings immense happiness. The trend started with the premiere shows, and the success of Ka has given me this honor. People are saying ‘we scored a hit,’ which has added a new level of responsibility for me. We will definitely make a sequel to Ka, exploring more of the uniqueness of Krishnagiri village."
Vamsi Nandipati, who was part of the film’s distribution, recalled that when Kiran first pitched Ka to him, he felt it would work like magic, stating that it could even earn ₹100 crores. The producer added, "During the filming of Ka, Kiran was as talkative as Vijay Deverakonda in Geetha Govindam, while I was quiet like Rashmika. Thinking back on those days brings joy. We will soon reveal more details about the sequel."
