Hyderabad to host Formula E race on Feb 11, discloses KTR

Hyderabad: Minister for IT and Municipal Administration KTR disclosed that Formula E Race will be held in Hyderabad for the first time in the country. He said that the event will be held on February 11 next year. By then, the construction of the new Secretariat, the unveiling of the huge Ambedkar statue and the memorials of the Telangana martyrs will be completed.

He said that the Formula E race will be conducted on a 2.8 km track near those three premises. He said that the existing road will be used for e-Track and no new work will be done. KTR unveiled the related brochure at Pragati Bhavan on Friday.

He said that this mobility week will be held from February 6 to 11 next year on the occasion of the Formula E Race. Each day a programme will be arranged. On the occasion, EV Summit (Electric Vehicle conference) will also be organised, he said.

Mahindra, Fisker, Olectra, Hyundai, Bility Electric and JF Group will be present at the event. He said that this is not just a summit, it will also be useful for investment discussions in the Electric vehicles sector.
