Jilted lover kills woman by slitting throat in Kakinada district

Kakinada, October 8: A jilted lover killed a woman by slitting her throat with a knife in between Kurada and Kandregula villages in Kakinada district on Saturday. According to police, the accused Venkata Suryanarayana used to harass Devaki of Kurada in the name of love. But she rejected his advances.
 
Suryanarayana followed her on a bike while she was heading to Kurada from Karapa and committed crime. Locals informed 108 call centre as she was lying in a pool of blood on the road but she died before ambulance reached the spot. They caught hold of the accused and tied to a tree and thrashed him. On receiving information, the police arrived and took the accused into custody. Cops registered a case and took up investigation.
