BRS main agenda is farmers’ welfare: KCR

Hyderabad, October 5: After renaming the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) officially on Wednesday, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) said that the BRS main agenda is welfare of farmers. He expressed anguish over living conditions of farmers. “Initially, BRS will focus on farmers belonging to Karnataka and Maharashtra states,” he mentioned.

KCR criticised the Modi government for importing processed food from foreign countries. “It is a shame to depend on processed food in states where food grains are surplus,” he said and made it clear that the BRS was launched to do best for people of India.

Telangana CM stated that several political parties in the country are viewing politics as sports. “For me, politics is a task,” he added. According to reports, BRS is planning to field candidates in 100 Lok Sabha seats in next general elections for securing 6% vote share to get national party status.
