These Bollywood films declared as flops, but raked in the moolah

Mumbai:  These are the films that raked in moolah though they were dubbed as flops. If a film in any film industry wants to achieve huge collections apart from good reviews word of mouth also works. But sometimes a movie though movie gets flop talk on the first day of its release they make huge collections.

The same is the case with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's recently released movie 'Brahmastra'. The film, which was recently released amid huge expectations, received negative reviews. However, within three days, the film has collected Rs.125 crore.  This is the biggest opening weekend total for Ranbir Kapoor, surpassing his previous film Sanju. 

There are a few films in Bollywood, which were declared flops, but became commercially successful.

'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' is a romantic drama starring Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor. Released in 2015, the movie had a flop talk on the first day. However, this film, which was made with a budget of Rs.120 crore, was a commercial success and collected Rs.207 crore.
 
Housefull 3
starring  Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Ritesh Deshmukh, on the day of its release, the movie received terrible reviews. However, this film, which was made with a budget of Rs 85 crore, collected around Rs.110 crore at the box office.

'Maryada Ramanna' is a film directed by Rajamouli starring Sunil as the hero. This movie, which was a super hit in Telugu, was remade in Hindi as 'Son of Sardar'. Starring Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha, the film was released in 2012 and received negative reviews. However, this film, which was made with a budget of around Rs 30 crore, collected around Rs 105 crore at the box office.

Judwaa-2 
is a romantic comedy movie in which Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu acted. This movie also got divided talk on the day of its release. However, this movie, which was made with a budget of around Rs 65 crore, collected around Rs.138 crore at the box office.
