Asia Cup 2022 India vs Sri Lanka: Angry fans demand Pant, Chahal's ouster

Hyderabad: It is known that Team India lost by five wickets in the high-voltage match against Pakistan on September 4 as part of the Super-4 stage of Asia Cup 2022. This match was handed over to the opponent by the Indian players.

At first batting (Pant, Hardik's worst shot selection), then bowling (Bhuvi, Hardik, Chahal giving generous runs) and fielding (Arshadeep dropping the catch at a crucial time) caused team India’s defeat.

In the wake of this unexpected defeat, the Indian fans are demanding that the team be purged.
In the next matches in the Super-4 stage, the cricket fans suggested to the Team India selectors that it is better to drop wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and spinner Chahal. In the match against Sri Lanka on September 6, they should be replaced by Dinesh Karthik and Akshar Patel, they mooted.

Pant, who was selected in the left-hander’s quota while Chahal was not able to take advantage of the opportunities that have come his way and he is giving away huge runs. Fans are of the opinion that if these two are removed and DK and Akshar are given a chance, the team will be balanced.

KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma (captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik (wicketkeeper), Akshar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshadeep Singh
