Munawar Faruqui comedy show: Tension prevails at Shilpa Kala Vedika

Hyderabad: Standup comedian Munawar Faruqui's show created tension in Telangana. It may be recalled that BJP MLA Raja Singh has given a warning that Munawar's show will be stopped. Meanwhile, the police alerted about the Munawar show and planned to start the show an hour earlier. With this, the Munawar show started at 5 pm at Shilpa Kala  Vedika at Hi-tech in Hyderabad.

The show is currently going on at the venue amid high tension. Now, as the BJP and BJYM activists were moving to the Shilpa Kala Vedika, there was a tense atmosphere prevailing there. Due to this, the security there has become a challenge for the police. So far around 50 BJP workers have been detained by the police and taken to Gachi Bowli Police Station.

Meanwhile, for Munawar Faruqui's comedy show  2,083 people booked tickets. Around 200 policemen are patrolling in mufti to avoid any untoward incident. Meanwhile, the Munawar show will continue till 9 pm.

BJP MLA Raja Singh once again responded to Munawar's comedy show. On the occasion, he said, “The Munawar show was being held because of Minister KTR. Our workers were beaten and arrested. They were put up in the police station,” he alleged.
