Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Dobaaraa’ movie shows cancelled due to low occupancy
Mumbai: It seems Bollywood was reeling under a bad phase. The hope of big directors and star heroes, who wanted to breathe life into the Hindi industry, which was suffering from a series of flops, is not yielding results.
Many big films like Prithviraj Chouhan, Shamshera and Laal Singh Chaddha turned out to be utter flops. Taapsee's new movie Dobara has joined this list. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film hit the screens on Friday (August 19). But, theatres are running with only two to three per cent occupancy.
Most of the shows are being cancelled as people are not coming. The film analysts are predicting that this movie will earn Rs 30 lakhs on the first day and Rs 1.5 crore in the full run. In fact, Taapsee and Anurag responded to the trend of boycotting movie promotions.
They asked to boycott the ‘Dobara’ movie as well in a lighter vein. It seems the audience took their advice seriously as there are watching the movie. While the film ‘Dobara’ is a remake of the 2018 Spanish movie ‘Mirage’.
