MP Venkat Reddy demands apology from TPCC chief Revanth

Hyderabad, August 4: TPCC president Revanth Reddy faced the ire of Congress MP from Bhongir Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for using word ‘you’ while criticising his brother and Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, who quit Congress and MLA post.

Venkat Reddy raised objection to Revanth’s comments that he and his brother would have worked in liquor shops if not they were associated with the Congress. “I have worked for the Congress with commitment and sincerity for the last 34 years,” he stated and demanded that the Telangana Congress president should tender an apology to him.

Defending his brother, “Why can’t Rajgopal join another national party quitting Congress when Revanth can join Congress being TDP MLA,” he asked. Venkat Reddy faulted the TPCC chief for not participating in the protest organised by the Congress in Delhi over National Herald case. To a question, the MP informed the media that they should ask his brother as to why he resigned for the Congress.
