Guv Tamilisai performs CPR on fellow passenger complained of chest pain on plane, wins praise

Hyderabad, July 23: Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan came to the rescue of a passenger, who complained of chest pain in mid-air on Delhi-Hyderabad bound Indigo flight on Friday night.

According to reports, a passenger informed a flight attendant that he was not feeling well because of pain in his chest. Flight attendants made an announcement seeking help of doctors for treating the passenger, who were on board.

Responding, Tamilisai came forward and performed CPR on him. She won the praise of fellow passengers for helping the passenger from life-threatening heart attack. However, she told fight staff to ensure CPR kit is available on plane and to collect details of doctors, who are travelling in the plane, well in advance so that they can be available in the time of emergency. “Even flight staff and people should undergo training on CPR,” she opined. Tamilisai is a doctor by profession prior to becoming Governor.
