By-election victory: Atmakur MLA Mekapati Vikram meets CM Jagan

Amaravati, June 27: Newly elected YSRCP MLA from Atmakur Mekapati Vikram Reddy met Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at his camp office in Tadepalli on Monday. The CM appreciated Vikram for winning Atmakur by-election with a huge margin of votes by defeating nearest rival BJP nominee. Ministers Kakani Govardhan Reddy and Karumuri Nageswara Rao have accompanied Vikram.

Speaking to the media, Vikram said that the YSRCP won by-poll because people benefitted from social welfare schemes. “I came to know that people are happy with the YSRCP rule during Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabuthavam programme,” he mentioned.

To a question, the MLA stated that he had discussed with the CM regarding pending developmental works to be completed in Atmakur constituency. “The YSRCP government is focusing on industrial growth and creation of thousands of jobs for unemployed,” he added. He further said that the CM will inaugurate Mekapati Goutham Reddy Sangam Barrage in July.
