Tender apology to Telangana youth, Revanth demands PM Modi

Hyderabad, June 27: TPCC president Revanth Reddy demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should attend the BJP’s national executive meeting in Hyderabad only after tendering an apology to Telangana youth. “Otherwise, the Congress will protest opposing BJP meetings in Hyderabad,” he warned.

Revanth on Monday participated in Satyagraha deeksha in Malkajgiri against the Agnipath scheme brought by the Modi government. Deekshas were also held by the Congress activists throughout the state.

The Telangana Congress chief made sarcastic comments on BJP-led NDA government for introducing Agnipath scheme by copying Israel. He said population of Israel is much lesser than Greater Hyderabad. “Israel made Army training for its citizens compulsory as it has less population,” he said and asked the Modi government as to how India can be compared to Israel.

Revanth also gave a call to Telangana youth to protest Modi visit to Hyderabad opposing Agnipath scheme. Local Congress leaders were present.
