PJR’s daughter Vijaya Reddy joins Congress in presence of Revanth
Hyderabad, June 23: As announced, TRS corporator from Khairatabad P. Vijaya Reddy joined the Congress in the presence of TPCC president Revanth Reddy at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday.
Vijaya, daughter of former Congress legislator P. Janardhan Reddy (PJR), said that she will always be indebted to people for showing their love and affection towards her as PJR’s daughter. She expressed anguish over deterioration of law and order situation in Hyderabad.
Revanth recalled services of PJR to the poor and the Congress. He said that Janardhan was responsible for bringing Krishna water to Hyderabad. “Earlier, people living in slums used to face difficulties for drinking water,” he mentioned and added that several lift irrigation projects were initiated in Telangana districts in combined state because of pressure mounted by PJR.
The Telangana president further said that late MLA always fought on behalf of the weaker sections of the society. Telangana Congress star campaigner and MP Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy, Congress leaders Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Anjan Kumar Yadav and others were present.
