Hyd: 8 men abuse UN employee in five-star hotel pub, attack her friends with liquor bottles
Hyderabad, June 21: In a shocking incident, eight men abused a United Nations (UN) employee and attacked her two friends with liquor bottles at a rooftop pub in ITC Kohenur here in the early hours of Monday.
According to police, two men approached the victim and asked her mobile number. They became furious when she rejected to tell and started abusing her. The male gang threatened to rape her. The group of eight men hit her friends with liquor bottles when they came to her rescue. Even, they also threatened pub organisers and warned of serious consequences if they intervened.
The injured women took treatment at a hospital. Later, the victim lodged a complaint with Raidurgam police station. The police registered a case and took up investigation. Two accused identified as Akbar and Saad. The incident created a sensation in the city as it took place soon after the Jubilee Hills gang-rape case.
