Minister Errabelli pays tribute to Rakesh, demands PM Modi to scrap Agnipath Scheme

Warangal, June 18: Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Saturday paid tributes to D. Rakesh, who died in police firing at Secunderabad railway station on Friday, at MGM Hospital here.
 
Talking to reporters, he demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should scrap Agnipath Scheme and tender an apology to youth. He alleged that the BJP-led Modi government is playing with the lives of youngsters. 
 
Errabelli praised Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for announcing Rs 25 lakh ex-gratia to kin of Rakesh and a government job to family members of deceased. He stated that the TRS will fight till Agnipath Scheme is abolished. 
 
Expressing solidarity with the demise of Rakesh, TRS MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy gave bandh call in Narsampet on Saturday. A massive funeral procession is underway from Warangal to Narsampet in which large number of TRS activists are taking part. Last rites of Rakesh would be performed at Dabeerpet on Saturday evening.
