Good news for railway passengers, IRCTC doubles online ticket booking limits

New Delhi: The IRCTC has good news for railway passengers. The Indian Railways on Monday said it has decided to double the number of online tickets. For the convenience of the passengers, it is possible to book more tickets than what is currently available on one ID.

But here's one twist. Only those who have made an Aadhaar link to book tickets online through the IRCTC website or app will be able to book a maximum of 24 tickets per month on their ID. This means that users with an Aadhaar link with the IRCTC app or website can now book up to 24 tickets per month.
Earlier, this limit was only 12 tickets. However, a non-Aadhaar-linked user can book up to 12 tickets. Earlier, it was known that this limit was only six tickets.
