Minister Harish slams Centre for neglecting AIIMS Bibinagar

Hyderabad, May 20: Health Minister Harish Rao on Friday visited All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bibinagar and enquired with doctors about services being offered to patients. He expressed dissatisfaction as doctors are only offering out-patient services.

Speaking on the occasion, Rao criticised the Central government for not setting up a single operation theatre and blood bank at AllMS in the last four years even though medical institute came into existence in 2018. He slammed Union Minister Kishan Reddy for saying that the Telangana government did not allot land to AIIMS. “Kishan Reddy accepted his mistake after I showed proof that state government had allotted 202 acres,” he said and asked union minister to strive for the development of AIIMS.

The minister mentioned that MBBS students are unable to do clinical practice at AIIMS. “Telangana government gave permission for students to do practicals at government hospital in Yadadri,” he added.
