Telangana govt increases upper age limit for police jobs by 2 more years

Hyderabad, May 20: The Telangana government on Friday relaxed the upper age limit for police jobs by two more years. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and DGP M Mahender Reddy to take necessary steps as today is last day to apply for 17,291 jobs. Pandemic is the reason for the CM to take decision on enhancing age limit for jobs.
 
In general category, candidates having age up to 30 years can apply for Sub-Inspector posts and for police constable posts, candidates having age up to 27 years are eligible. On Thursday alone, one lakh aspirants have applied for police jobs. 
 
Applications will be accepted uploaded till 10 pm today. However, job aspirants are requesting the state government to give some more time for applying jobs. Already, relaxation of three years was given to candidates. Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) Chairman V V Srinivasa Rao said that the TSLPRB received 10 lakh applications till Thursday.
