Focus on tier-2 cities in Telangana, KTR tells IT-enabled firms

Hyderabad, May 16: Minister for IT, Industries and Municipal Administration K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) on Monday suggested that certain portion of IT business can go to tier-2 cities in Telangana. He stated that the KCR government has created good eco-system in tier-2 and 3 cities such as Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Nalgonda, and Mahabubnagar and asked companies looking for expansion to explore them as good infrastructure is in place and plug and play facilities are available.
 
Earlier, KTR and Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy have jointly opened the new office of Colliers India in Hyderabad. Colliers provides professional and investment management services to clients in 62 countries. Speaking on the occasion, he mentioned that development in tier-2 and 3 cities will support the growth of the state and India. Principal Secretary (IT) Jayesh Ranjan, Colliers India Chairman & MD Sankey Prasad, CEO Ramesh Nair, government officials and other top employees of the company were present.
