TN CM son Udayanidhi Stalin to bid adieu to films; to devote his full time to politics

Chennai (Tamil Nadu): Tamil hero Udayanidhi Stalin made an important announcement on Sunday. He said that he is bidding adieu to films soon and will be devoting his full time to politics. He made the announcement as part of his latest film ‘Nenju Nidhi’ promotions. It is known that Udayanidhi is the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and made his debut in films before foraying into politics.

Udayanidhi, who contested as an MLA on behalf of his father's DMK party in the recent Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, has won the polls and entered the Assembly. He is starring in the film 'Nenjuku Nidhi', followed by 'Mamannain'. He declared that the 'Mamannine' movie will be the last movie in his career.

He announced that he will continue to be in public service with his father hereafter. The actor-turned-politician made his debut as an actor in 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' for which he bagged the Best Male Debut-South Filmfare Award. The DMK youth wing secretary won the Chepauk-Triplicane seat by a huge margin, which was represented in the past by his grandfather and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.
