BJP releases Rahul Gandhi’s Nepal pub video, viral on internet

Delhi, May 3: The BJP shared a video clip in which Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was reportedly seen with Hou Yanqi, Chinese ambassador to Nepal, at a nightclub on Tuesday. Now, the video has gone viral on social media. According to reports, Rahul was in Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, to attend wedding of his journalist friend Sumnima Udas at the Marriot Hotel.
 
The BJP criticised Gandhi for partying at a nightclub when his party is facing leadership crisis. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala in a tweet said that Rahul is not a part-time politician but a ‘party time’ politician. Even, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju tweeted, “Vacation, Party, Holiday, Pleasure Trip, Private Foreign Visit etc are nothing new to the nation now…"
 
However, the Congress defended Rahul by saying that he has gone to Nepal to attend a wedding. “Is it wrong to participate in the wedding,” the Congress asked the BJP leaders.
