Chiranjeevi responds to question on increasing ticket prices for Acharya movie

Hyderabad, April 26: Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan starrer Acharya is getting ready for release on April 29. As part of promoting the film, a press meet organised on Tuesday here in which actors Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde and director Koratala Siva took part.
 
One of the reporters asked Chiranjeevi as to what is the need to hike the ticket prices of Acharya when he can pull audience in large number to theatres with his image. Koratala Siva stated that he worked solely on Acharya for the last four years. “Chiranjeevi had dedicated three years and Ram Charan attended shooting for 40 days,” he explained. Siva further said that financial accounts of the movie were yet to be closed.
 
Chiranjeevi mentioned that Tollywood was severely hit with the pandemic and Acharya producer is paying Rs 50 crore as interest for money borrowed from others. “We have requested the AP and Telangana governments to increase the ticket prices for recovering interest amount,” he said and added that actors are in the tax bracket of 42 per cent.
