Actress Jeevitha gives explanation for Rs. 26 crore cheating allegations

Speaking after the launch of Shekar movie poster in Hyderabad on Saturday, senior Tollywood actress and producer Jeevitha responded to the allegations levelled by PSV Garuda Vega producer and Jyo Star Enterprises founder Koteswara Raju and his wife Hema. They had filed a cheating case against actor couple in Nagari court as they transferred ownership of their properties to known people after showing them as guarantee for Rs 26 crore loan taken from them to finance the movie. Raju and Hema have stated that the court had issued non-bailable warrant against Jeevitha and Rajasekhar.
 
Without clarifying regarding arrest warrant, Jeevitha said that they are not bound to pay any money to Koteswara Raju as per the judgement delivered by a court in the past. “There is no truth in charges levelled by him against me,” she clarified. She further said it is not right to drag the name of financier Beeram Sudhakar Reddy into the issue. 
 
Srinivas, producer of Shekar movie, said that a demonetisation case was registered against Koteswara Raju in 2017 and has been evading arrest since then. “Raju has to prove from where he bought Rs 26 crore to finance Garuda Vega movie,” he stated.
