High Court stay makes GO 69 invalid: TPCC chief Revanth

Hyderabad, April 21: TPCC President A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday tweeted that GO 69 issued by the TRS government lifting restrictions imposed with GO 111 will not be valid. He tagged the stay order given by the High Court along with the tweet.

Revanth has mentioned that the top court directed the then state government in combined Andhra Pradesh not to take up any further steps on GO 111 while issuing stay order on 16.07.2007. He recalled that the stay was granted when the government sought to reduce the catchment area of reservoirs in and around of Hyderabad from 10 km to 500 metres radius. The scrapping of GO 111 will allow construction of apartments and industrial activities.

The TPCC chief alleged that Minister for IT, Industries and Municipal Administration K. Taraka Rama Rao had abolished GO 111 to favour real estate mafia. The GO 69 said that the water quality will not be impacted in Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar reservoirs.
