Hours after CM Jagan warns RTA officials over convoy issue, two suspended

Amaravati, April 21: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has warned the RTA officials of Ongole for taking away car forcibly from a family hired to visit Tirumala for pilgrimage. He instructed the CMO to take disciplinary action against staff involved in the incident.

According to reports, the RTA officials approached Srinivas while he and his family were having breakfast at a hotel in Ongole on Wednesday. They took away the car and its driver saying that it is required to be used in CM’s convoy. The CM is scheduled to visit on Friday for an official purpose. The victim’s wife said that they were scared when the car was taken away.

On coming to know about the convoy issue, the CM made it clear that he will not tolerate if any official causes inconvenience to common people. The state government on Thursday suspended AMVI Sandhya and home guard Tirupal Reddy after a preliminary investigation.
