Telangana: Upper age limit increased for uniformed service jobs

Hyderabad, April 14: Telangana government on Wednesday issued orders raising the upper-age limit for uniformed service jobs in police, fire department, prisons, transport, forest, special protection wing etc to three years. The orders will be applicable for two years for direct appointments.

According to the orders:
For constable jobs, the minimum age limit is 18 years and 22 years is the maximum age limit for general category. As per the new orders, the age limit will be 25 years. Maximum age limit of SC, ST and BC candidates is 27 years will now increase to 30 years.

For SI jobs, minimum age limit is 21 years and 25 years is the maximum age limit for general category is 25 years. This will become 28 years. Earlier, 30 years is the maximum age limit for SC, ST and BC candidates, which now raised to 33 years.

For DSC posts, 21 years is the minimum age limit and 30 years is the maximum age limit for general category. This is now increased to 33 years. The maximum age limit for SC, ST and BC candidates has increased from 35 to 38 years as per the new orders.
