Chandrababu allotted lands in Vizag to NCC in 2019, ordered probe: Botsa

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Botsa Satyanarayana on Tuesday alleged that the TDP is spreading lies over lands in Visakhapatnam. Speaking to the media, he said that decision regarding allotment of lands to the NCC in Vizag was taken by the previous TDP government in 2019. “After approval of the Cabinet, the file was forwarded to the then chief minister” he revealed.

Botsa has mentioned that the Chandrababu gave GPA to NCC as latter requested him that they cannot pay stamp and registration duties for the lands gave to them. “The present CM cannot change the decision once it was approved by the Cabinet,” he said.

The minister stated that the YSRCP government withdrew the GPA given to the NCC and two-men committee have estimated the value of the lands as Rs 197 crore. “We have asked the NCC to pay the money for the lands allotted to them,” he said and added that probe was ordered into land allocation to the NCC by Chandrababu.
