Only Russia can guarantee protection of Indian students: Ukraine's ambassador to India
New Delhi: Ukrainian Ambassador to India Igor Polikha said they were victims of Russian aggression. Yet they say they are trying to help others. He said other nationals, including Indians, were stranded in their country, were being helped to leave the country safely.
He said Russia was the only country that could guarantee the protection of Indian students. He said stopping the war and putting pressure on Russia was a priority for Ukraine. At present, the number of refugees in Ukraine is over four lakhs. If the war continues the number will cross 70 lakhs. Millions of Ukrainians are waiting in the country to cross the border
