Guv Tamilsai supports Sai Pallavi, expresses anguish over body shaming

Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soudararajan lent her support to Sai Pallavi when the actress was trolled for her role in Shyam Singha Rai.

She revealed that she, too, had experienced similar anguish in the past. Tamilisai explained that only those who have faced such situations know the suffering, but with perseverance, hard work and talent, one can overcome such criticism.

How can it be our fault to be born short and black, she questioned? One should see beauty in everything, she opined. Women in society are victims of body shaming while men are seen as young even after the age of 50. Tamilisai remarked that if women are making their own mark, they will be hounded to stop them from being a force to reckon with.

Saipallavai appeared as Devadasi in Shyam Singha Rai movie starring Natural Star Nani. Her character name in the movie is Maitri. Her performance also received critical acclaim. Meanwhile, an article published in the Tamil media about Sai Pallavi has become a topic of discussion. The gist of the news is that Sai Pallavi is ugly in the role of Devadasi.
