Nara Lokesh Heads to US, Canada on Investment Mission
Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT, Electronics, and Human Resources, Nara Lokesh, is set to embark on a five-day tour of the United States and Canada, beginning December 6th, with the primary objective of attracting foreign investment to the state.
His five-day itinerary includes key meetings across North America. The tour will commence in Dallas on December 6, where he is scheduled to participate in a meeting with the Telugu diaspora. Following this, Nara Lokesh will travel to San Francisco for meetings with representatives of several leading companies on December 8 and 9. The final leg of his tour will be in Toronto, Canada, on December 10, where he will engage with local industrialists.
This marks Nara Lokesh’s second visit to the US since the new coalition government assumed power in Andhra Pradesh. Over the past 18 months, he has undertaken several international tours to destinations including the US, Davos, Singapore, and Australia to promote the state as an investment hub.
These efforts are credited with playing a significant role in the influx of investments during the recent Partnership Summit held in Visakhapatnam, where he highlighted the state’s industry-friendly environment and the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The state government has expressed strong confidence in the upcoming tour, citing Nara Lokesh's past achievements. Notably, a previous visit to the US by him was instrumental in persuading global tech giant Google to establish a presence in Andhra Pradesh. Expectations are high that his current visit will similarly secure substantial new investments for the state.
